Something for almost nothing

(or my Christmas present to you)

There aren't many shopping days till Christmas. You probably don't want to be reminded, but I'm just setting the scene by drawing a problem to your attention. Then, a paragraph or two down (far enough that you're looking for an answer, but not so far you've become despondent) I'll give you a solution.

Christmas is looming and you've just got too much to do. You're probably feeling guilty about shoving your PR and comms to the bottom of the priority list. But if you win my writing, editing and PR services for eight hours — that'll make life easier. Phew! What a pressie!

Just look at what that could mean for you: I can write your web copy, write a press release, edit your standard letters, proofread your prospectus, ghost write an article, help you find a PR angle ... the list goes on. Take a look around my site to discover the possibilities.

I can do eight hours all in one day, or divide them over two or three. I'd like to finish before March, but we can negotiate depending on your project. If you're in Auckland, I can come to your office or work from mine. If you're outside Auckland, there's nothing quite like phones and email for staying in contact. If the job takes longer, I'll charge my normal hourly rate after eight hours.

And all you have to do is be subscribed to Writer's Log on December 15, 2009 to be in with a chance to win. I'll make my decision and contact the winner by December 18 — making Christmas come early.

How will I decide? I'll be completely arbitrary. I may choose the best opportunity, the best sob story, the biggest need (as demonstrated by the worst, still vaguely intelligible, grammar and spelling), the most loyal subscriber, the business with the most individual subscribers ... it'll all depend on what I feel like on the day. Just so we're clear.

So if you've ever wondered what a specialist writer and editor can do for your business or organisation, subscribe and be in to win. It will probably help if you tell me why I should choose you (that includes you, existing subscribers), but it's not compulsory. And because I know you're as generous as me, I'm sure you'll share this never-before-seen-in-this-world opportunity with your friends and colleagues. But possibly not your competitors.
